Bowie Green Expo 2026
Planet v. Plastics

Saturday, April 18, 2026, 12:00pm – 4:00pm

New Location! Benjamin Tasker Middle School

The Bowie Lions collaborated with the City of Bowie to bring the 12 annual Bowie Green Expo to a bigger venue, in the cafeteria of Tasker Middle School. This family friendly event was free to the public. This year’s 56th Earth Day theme is Planet v. Plastic.

Our event began with a welcome from local officials and the city’s annual Green Citizen Award. Guests were able to ask local experts about ways to improve your home’s energy efficiency. They browsed up-cycled jewelry and crafts and alternatives to plastic products. Many leveled up their indoor and outdoor gardening skills. We visited with furry and scaly animal ambassadors. Many seeds were distributed and even planted. We visited with a local children’s book author and artist. And we gave away some amazing door prizes.

We welcomed new and returning sponsors and vendors this year, sharing information, services, and products that reduce our impact on the environment and celebrate nature.

Stay tuned for the date for next year’s event!
